You are invited tomorrow (saturday April 24th) to join us for life performances by Brian Dewan, Glomag, jenghizkhan, Luis Libitz (sound) and Mike Ballou, Jeremy Bernstein, Justin Strawhand and Daniel Vatsky (video) (9 - 11.30pm).

jenghizkhan (John Parker) explores the extreme sonic possibilities afforded by contemporary means of sound production, fusing the controlled and the random into a volatile, ever-twisting whole.
For the vertexList show he will perform live digital synthesis with an Elektron Monomachine (featured on the cover of this month's Sound on Sound magazine) and a Casio SK-1 toy keyboard, circuit bent by Arius Blaze (featured artist at the Tank's recent Circuit Bending Festival). Expect minacious sounds inimitably arranged. More information can be found online at Eyekhan.com

Under the name glomag, Chris Burke operates gameboys and laptop to present electronic music for overactive thumbs. Some of these tracks have been released on the net labels Kikapu.net and Imnotok.com. Glomag appeared in the November 2003 Wired magazine article "8 Bit Punk" written by Malcolm McLaren and has performed in venues around NY and Europe including Lincoln Center and in a giant, translucent video sphere in Brussels with media artists Lab[au]. He has four CDs out including "All Wave Super" with his previous band Glorified Magnified. http://www.glomag.com

Louis Libitz is an independent videomaker and sound engineer. Lou's installations combines mixed media which has included photography, video, and various sound designs. His work has been screened at the Anthology Film Archives and Cinema Classics in New York City and also at the Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, New Jersey as well as the Jersey City Artist Studio Tour 2003.

Daniel Vatsky is a video artist, film archivist, and researcher. He utilizes a wide variety of media along with specialized software and hardware components, combining them to createunique systems of data and signal processing. His projects range from transcontinental multi-user installations to low-fidelity performances using slide projectors and found objects. Influenced heavily by the filmmaking process and collage art, his pieces are concerned with the distillation of images, in which their innate qualities and emotional content can be stretched, contemplated, manipulated, and re-contextualized.
In addition to his solo work, Daniel is a founding member of the visual performance groups Screen Memory (with Eric Redlinger and Michael Berk), V4 (with Giles Hendrix, Josh Goldberg and Chris Jordan), and Kijk & Luister (with Isabelle Jenniches). He is also a core member of SHARE, a weekly electronic jam session for audio and video performers.
